The City of Hughson celebrated it's 100 Birthday with an all day Birthday Party Sept. 22nd, 2007. C.F.M.A. State Championship Firemen's Muster returned to Stanislaus County Fairgrounds
The weather really didn't cooperate as the day began. It started to drizzle and quickly changed to hard rain. By the time the parade was ready to step off though, the rain had stopped. So Hughson's Centennial Celebration was off and running without the rain.
The Grand Marshal was Blanche Sheridan who
just happens to be a centenarian this year.

If there had a been a fire at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds the weekend of August 24th - 26th, 2007, they wouldn't have had any problem finding a Fire Engine or a crew to man it. The CFMA State Championship Firemens Muster returned to the fairgrounds once again.

The Hughson Fire Department Muster Team was a
part of it. They travel all over the state competing.
If you have never seen an old hand pumper put through it's paces, then be sure to attend a firemen's muster
for a treat. You would be surprised at what they can do.

   With the Hose Carts, Hand Pumpers, Bucket Brigades and Fire Apparatus Competitions, the weekend was pretty full. Muster teams from all over the state were represented.
